BayLegal's 3,432 cases and clinics serving 652 participants defended tenants against unlawful evictions, and helped retain housing subsidies and the right to live free from discrimination in safe and affordable housing. Our 3,162 closed cases resulted in over $17.9 million in benefits for clients.

PUBLIC BENEFITS

In 1,651 cases BayLegal helped clients access eligible public safety net benefits for economic stability, nutrition and support services. 1,049 closed cases resulted in $13.5 million in direct economic benefits

HEALTH

BayLegal's Health Consumer Center helped clients in 1,469 cases by advocating for access to necessary and lifesaving health care coverage and services, and for some, preventing catastrophic medical debt. Our 1,307closed cases resulted in economic benefits of $8.6 million.

FAMILY LAW

In 835 cases and for 281 clinic participants, BayLegal helped survivors of violence and their children remove legal barriers to safety and self-sufficiency, and secured nearly $1.4 million in economic benefits in 663 closed cases.

IMMIGRATION

In 392 cases, BayLegal represented immigrant survivors of violence, obtaining eligible immigration relief and employment authorization resulting in increased personal safety, reunited families, greater selfsufficiency, and $9.1 million in economic recovery in 127 closed cases.

OTHER LEGAL CASES

In 391 cases, BayLegal provided assistance with wills, advance directives, employment rights, expungement, license reinstatement, and civil rights matters.

CONSUMER RIGHTS

BayLegal helped clients in 326 cases 和 695 legal clinic participants fight back against unlawful debt collection and predatory lending. Nearly $1.4 million was recovered in 252 closed cases.

YOUTH JUSTICE

In 120 cases, BayLegal helped transition-age youth increase access to foster care benefits, educational supports, and guardianship
