Consumer Protection

We help low-income consumers with unlawful debt collection, predatory lending, and credit reporting.

Domestic Violence

We help low-income survivors in a range of family law: restraining orders, child custody, support, and dissolution.

Public Benefits

We help appeal denials or other issues with state and county benefits (ex. CalWORKs, CalFresh, General Assistance, and IHSS).

SSI/Disability Benefits

We help individuals with disabilities appeal denial, termination or overpayments of SSI, SSDI, and CAPI and related benefits.

Health Care Access

We help low-income individuals with legal issues regarding coverage, services, equipment, and healthcare related debt.

Housing

We help low-income tenants in cases involving evictions, discrimination, habitability, and public housing (ex Sec 8 and public housing).

Immigration

We help survivors of violence and abuse seek immigration relief and related benefits: VAWA; U and T Visas; and SIJS.

Reentry

We help individuals with arrest or conviction histories address legal barriers to housing, benefits, employment, etc.

Veterans

In Alameda and Contra Costa we partner with community nonprofits to help low-income veterans in a range of legal areas.

Youth Justice

We help eligible youth in a range of legal issues to address homelessness, safety, self-sufficiency, and education goals.
