The Venable Foundation, Inc. Awards $150,000 Impact Grant

The Venable Foundation, Inc., the philanthropic arm of the law firm Venable LLP, has announced this week an impact grant of $150,000 to benefit Bay Area Legal Aid in support of relief efforts in the aftermath of last month’s devastating wildfires.

“There is great need in our local communities, particularly by the poor and the underserved who need legal representation. Giving is at the core of who we are and what we do,” said Lindsay B. Meyer, president of The Venable Foundation. “We are proud to support the important work of the Bay Area Legal Aid and its timely efforts to help those communities affected by the fires recover.”

“Access to needed legal help isn’t just a matter of justice.  In the wake of these disasters, it is food, shelter, healthcare, and family stability,” said Genevieve Richardson, Bay Area Legal Aid’s managing attorney for Napa, Contra Costa, and Marin counties.
