SF Chronicle Highlights Impact of Legal Aid Funding in CA

March 22, 2017 – The San Francisco Chronicle reported on the impact of legal aid funding throughout California, including Bay Area Legal Aid’s annual reach to nearly 60,000 people fighting for a chance out of poverty. Bay Area Legal Aid (BayLegal) is one of eleven organizations in California receiving funding from the Legal Service Corporation (LSC). In 2016, LSC funding to BayLegal totaled $4.1 million, or 31 percent of our overall $12.9M budget.
