Protecting Yourself from EBT Skimming

Over the last year or so California has seen a huge spike in public benefits being electronically stolen from people’s EBT cards. The California Department of Social Services (CDSS), the state agency that oversees EBT cards and most benefit programs that you can receive on an EBT card, has created this flyer with tips about how to protect your benefits and what can be done if you are a victim of theft. CDSS has also created helpful videos in English and Spanish with further information for EBT card users.
