HUD / Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) Materials on Fair Housing and Eviction

As part of the ongoing discussion of eviction moratoria and protections during the COVID-19 pandemic, attention is needed as well to the deep, ongoing disparities in housing access, stability and accommodation faced by Black and indigenous communities, people of color and people with disabilities. In many cases, the strain on housing security created by the pandemic has only served to deepen these disparities.

Our partners and funders at HUD and FHEO are providing a set of materials to inform landlords and tenants about important fair housing obligations related to actions to evict. Materials can be accessed via this page on the HUD website.

BayLegal’s fair housing work is supported in part by funding under a grant with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
