In our new political landscape, BayLegal’s legal expertise and work serving low-income families and individuals are ever more important. Our staff are experts in critical public safety net programs and benefits, and we are ready to use our expertise to fight proposed deep cuts and changes that will further exacerbate poverty and homelessness.

Thank you for your support of our staff’s work to protect the legal rights of those most vulnerable and in need: low-income families, immigrants, LGBTQ+, communities of color, people who are unhoused and at risk of homelessness, those working and living in poverty, survivors of abuse, youth experiencing homelessness, and so many others.

Your donation is even more important as we plan for further restrictions and cuts in grant funding.

Your support will enable us to continue to help low-income families protect their legal rights to fundamental needs such as healthcare, housing and financial stability, and protection from domestic violence and sexual assault. As one of our San Francisco clients, who worked with our social worker and disability rights attorney to obtain disability benefits, exit homelessness, and reunite with her family shared:
