APPOINTMENTS RECOMMENDED (CALL 510-250-5281)
When you seal your juvenile records relating to an arrest or court case, the court deems the arrest or court case “never to have occurred.” This means that when you apply to most jobs or colleges, you may be able to say that you were never arrested and that you have no criminal history.
IF YOU:
- were arrested before you turned 18,
- are now 18 to 24 years old,
- are off probation or parole, and
- have not been convicted of a felony AFTER you turned 18
Then you might be able to seal your juvenile records. To find out if you are eligible and to schedule a free appointment at one of our clinics, call (510) 250-5281 TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT or please email Michael Santos at msantos@baylegal.org.
This clinic is a collaboration of Bay Area Legal Aid and the Contra Costa Public Defenders Office.
Name & Gender Marker Change Legal Clinic
Would you like FREE assistance with completing your documents to change your name and/or gender marker?
Sign up for our upcoming Name and Gender Marker Change Clinic! Get legal support from caring lawyers to change your name or gender marker. Support includes education and assistance with completing your court documents and other necessary documents.
Advance registration is required and space is limited. Please contact Jeanie Austin at Jeanie.Austin@sfpl.org or Bay Area Legal Aid at probono@baylegal.org to reserve your spot.
The clinic is hosted by Bay Area Legal Aid and the San Francisco Public Library and will take place in the Main Library at 100 Larkin St.
