Executive Director’s Blog: Looking Forward – Part II

Genevieve Richardson, Bay Area Legal Aid’s Executive Director

Readers of our May newsletter will know that BayLegal is currently recruiting for several open and new senior management positions. I am proud to share exciting news about this effort and welcome our three newest Managing Attorneys:

  • Kristi Lesnewich serves as our Napa County Regional Office Managing Attorney: great news for a county whose low-income and vulnerable residents have been the focus of her legal career for a number of years, and who will benefit from her new management role.
  • Barbara Texidor takes on a new role as our Health Consumer Center and Legal Advice Line Managing Attorney. Barbara was an early member of the LAL and a founding partner in developing and building the HCC, and actively identifying new ways to expand access to HCC and LAL services.
  • Adam Poe serves as our Contra Costa / Marin County Regional Office Managing Attorney, bringing with him ten years of experience working with the region’s client communities, public agencies and community organizations.

Watch this space for further announcements as we build our organizational leadership, quality supervision, and capacity to sustain and expand a vision of inclusion, equity, and equal justice!
