City of Richmond Votes for Fair Housing

Richmond, CA — The Richmond City Council passed last night voted to approve the “Fair Chance Access to Affordable Housing” ordinance. The new ordinance prohibits affordable housing providers from using “blanket bans” against individuals with criminal records. “We applaud the City of Richmond for giving our clients a fair chance.” – Ann Surapruik, Bay Area Legal Aid Attorney.
